4500 Milk producers were benefitted by the Bonus amount of Rs. 1.07 Crores provided to the member societies from the Union profit of the year 2015-16.
Best Union Award
Kanyakumari union was selected as the BEST Milk Producers Union among all the Milk Producers unions in Tamilnadu. The union was awarded by the Honorable Minister of Cooperative Department Sellur Raju in the Celebration of 64th Cooperative Week at Coimbatore.
AAVIN Parlour at Kanyakumari beach road
-Under the scheme NABARD 2015-17 Aavin Hi-Tech parlour was constructed at the Kanyakumari tourist place, Urban HAAT at the cost of Rs.31.90 lakhs.
-The parlour was openend on 21.09.2017 and it is functioning successfully as there is market demand on Aavin products among the tourists’.

Aavin Hi-Tech Parlour at Elangamanipuarm
- In order to increase aavin milk and milk products sales in the district, a new Aavin Hi-Tech Parlour was constructed in Ethankadu village, Elangamanipuram at the Nagercoil – Kanyakumari National Highways to the Value of Rs.80 lakhs based on the announcement made by the Honourable Minister for Milk and Dairy Development.
- As the parlour is located in the highway leading to Kanyakumari, it may attract all the tourists’ and the highway riders. The parlour is constructed with parking and restroom facility, so that the highway riders may feel convenient to park their vehicles and to get relaxed in the air conditioned Aavin parlour.
- To attract and entertain the children, the parlour is facilitated with playing equipments, which will surely increase in aavin milk product sales.

New Aavin Hi-Tech Parlour at K.P Road Head Office and Vadsery
- Under the NABARD scheme 2015-17, Aavin Hi-Tech parlour was constructed at Uzhavar Chanthai, near Vadasery bus stand, Nagercoil and it is functioning profitably from 29.01.2017. As the parlour is located at the main junction of Nagercoil, more than 500 customers are visiting the parlour daily and getting benefitted with quality Aavin milk and milk products.
- By considering the comfortability of the cutomers, Rs.7 lakhs was utilised for the expansion of Head office parlour with air conditioned room from the NABARD fund which increased the sales of Aavin milk and Milk products.
